Lighting and Audio Systems
The Erindale Theatre is equipped with comprehensive in-house lighting and audio systems. We have a wide range of equipment to assist with every variety of show.
Erindale Theatre's orchestra pit has been recently upgraded. It now provides an excellent acoustic design and top quality safety equipment. The pit can now also hold up to 30 musicians for even the largest of musical productions.
The LCD Projector is suitable for both video/DVD & PowerPoint. The large screen sits approximately 2 meters back from the front of the permanent stage with the projector behind. This provides the best visual display possible for both PowerPoint and Video/DVD.
Erindale Theatre has very large unisex dressing rooms, ideal for big productions or dance groups.
Often used in ballet, the Tarquet provides a soft but firm and well gripped ground for dances.
Fly Tower (must be staffed by an Erindale Theatre employee)
The Erindale Theatre is one of only three theatres in the Canberra region that boasts a fully operational fly tower system, making for the most professional set changes. The fly tower has 22 bars. Permanent flys in the tower include:
| ||A house curtain which drops down as apposed to the motorized house curtain, which comes in from the sides.|
| ||Two French action curtains. One midway on stage and one at the back of the stage. These allow for the break up of the stage and alternate entry points.|
| ||A Cyclorama. Used as an alternative white backdrop. Lighting is extremely effective on this to create different coloured backgrounds.|
| ||A Projection screen.|
| ||Four wired lighting bars.|
Box Office and Bar
The Box Office is available for tickets to be sold just prior to a show. The Erindale Theatre Bar is equipped with display fridges, urns and a dishwasher and is run by the organizers of the event or, if desired, by the theatre.
The workshop is located at the back of the theatre at the loading dock. It is often used as a storage area for props or as a warm-up area for performers.
